Pros and Cons of OnLive

OnLive Pros:

1. The consumer will not have to purchase expensive hardware.
2. OnLive won’t take up any memory, as there is no need to store Gigs of game data on your PC or Mac.
3. OnLive fixes any problems that occur, unlike other consoles.
4. No discs needed, therefore you won't get scratched or faulty discs. Don't need to wait for downloads either.
5. Don't need to purchase a memory card as it saves where you are online.

OnLive Cons:

1. Poor internet connection can effect the quality of game play.
2. No access to games if OnLive's server is down. In this case, discs are more reliable.
3. You have to pay for subscription as well as each individual game.
4. Microsoft and Sony already have strong online game communities, OnLive have virtually created a similar concept.
5. OnLive is using new online technology which is bound to have faults at the beginning.
